Three steps, that is it. No labyrinth, no twenty seven tabs open at midnight wondering what you have missed

01 Get in touch. Fill in the form whenever you have a minute, coffee in hand, half watching Netflix, or hiding from the kids for five seconds of peace. I check if I am free, gather the details I need, and send you clear, honest information with straightforward pricing and no surprises later. If you would like to chat properly, I am always up for it. We can meet in person or jump on Zoom, see faces, hear laughs, and get a feel for each other. And if you already feel sure and want to skip that step, that is completely fine too.

02 When you are ready to move forward, the next step is securing your booking. There is a booking fee, which is not an extra cost. It comes off your final balance. It simply holds your date so that when someone else asks, I can say sorry, it's taken. It also means I start thinking about you straight away, your day, your people, your moments. Just to be clear, the fee is non refundable, as it secures your date and covers that initial planning and preparation.

03Once that is done, you are booked in, which is the nice part. I will send you my planning guide, full of genuinely helpful recommendations, little tips, and things you might not have thought about yet. You will also get a questionnaire so I can shape everything around you, not a template wedding, not a copy paste love story, just yours.

Simple, easy, done. And then I get to make something really bloody special with you.

THE PROCESS
WHAT ROCKS MY BOAT
My love of creative editorial style photography brings something a little different to Family Portraiture.
All my family shoots are done on location, in natural light with a natural heart. I work naturally, engaging with the children or knowing when to fade into the background. I’m not interested in having everyone posing for hours
on end, I want to capture honest moments.
My favourite thing is to voyeuristically capture the little things. To capture something that will spark a memory and emotion. I’m not only thinking about how you’ll see these photos in a few weeks time, I’m thinking about capturing the little things that otherwise would be forgotten in 30 years time.
I want you to look at your photos and remember something wonderful, to feel deep truth and for the colours to reveal parts of your soul that make you delight in the family you've created. .
QUESTIONS ANSWERED

How will it work for your Family?
Everything about your session is about you and what you want. We will discuss all these details at our phone booking consultation or better yet, lets meet up for a coffee. We will decide on location, whether this be at your home or your favourit spot in town. We will decide on a time best suited for the light, your families schedule and mood.
This is where we will combine your personality, your vision and my creativity into something completely you.
This is all about your life.
What to wear?
This is simple. Wear anything that is you. Be timeless, confident and comfortable (without maybe pulling on the sweats)
Pull your outfits together with symmetry of style and colors, without matching. You want your style to reflect who you are so just be your awesome self. The location MAY sometimes dictate the outfits chosen, but thats all part of the fun!

What happens if my child / rabbit / husband completely loses the plot?
Ahhh yes. Chaos. My old friend. Show me a toddler who can breeze through a two hour shoot without a meltdown, or a newborn who politely sleeps the entire time, and I’ll eat my hat (with a side of camera strap)

Honestly… this is normal. Expected, even. Your job? Look calm. Look serene. Keep smiling like the glowing, unbothered legend you are. My job? Find the magic inside the chaos. The cuddles after the tears, the giggles between the wriggles, the real, beautiful, slightly bonkers moments that actually tell your story. Also… I have tricks. Many, many tricks. Some are designed for children. Some are designed for grown men behaving like children. Everyone leaves looking like they adore each other, I promise.

I hate myself in photos… can you just photograph the kids while I hide behind a tree?
Ohhhh I hear this one all the time. And my answer is always the same: 1… it is quite literally my job to find your best light, your best angles, and make you look like the absolute goddess you are. 2… right now you might see the things you’d change. In a few years? You won’t. You’ll see joy. You’ll see love. You’ll see you being there with your babies. And that matters more than anything. Also… your kids are not going to grow up saying “Gosh, I wish Mum had slightly better contour.” They’re going to want photos with you in them. So no hiding. I will find you. Kindly. But firmly.

Can we or our family & friends view / buy prints online?
Yes! Your photos will go onto a private, password-protected site. That means you can share the password with your nearest and dearest and they can access your photos with the option to buy prints.

What should we wear?
Short answer: you, but fabulous. Think comfy, think you, think “I feel great in this.”
If that means gumboots and a superhero cape… honestly, excellent. No notes.
A few little tips: Maybe avoid big logos, text, and anything neon near the face unless we’re going for “highlighter chic”
Basically… coordinated if you want to but , not copy-paste. And please, for the love of all things nostalgic, let’s not accidentally recreate a 90s denim and white shirt catalogue shoot… unless you are secretly a Kardashian, in which case carry on. In short: wear your favourite things, feel amazing, and it will absolutely shine through.
Children? Let them express themselves. If that means naked, overdressed, or dressed as a dinosaur… I support it.

What is your photography style?
My style is natural, relaxed and tasteful. I look for lots of natural light and vibrant colours. I’m pretty good at noticing things and I absolutely love spotting unexpected photo opportunities. Capturing little hidden moments that people usually miss is my superpower. I like to get a good mix of natural photography alongside couples portraits, group shots and detail shots. Brought together these paint a vibrant picture of your day that you can cherish forever. Check out my gallery section and blog for a closer look at my work.

We hate posing for pictures. Do we have to pose?
Preach. I hate posing for pictures too! For most people, posing isn’t natural and we’re just not used to it. If you’re uncomfortable, it shows. And who wants pictures of themselves looking uncomfortable? Not me. You most certainly don’t have to pose if you don’t want to. My style is all about capturing the REAL you and the joy of your wedding day, so relax and enjoy it!
